Dev Com 037 is a self-paced one and two unit reading lab course which helps students improve in reading comprehension and critical thinking skills and expand their vocabulary. Students accomplish these skills by attending the center several hours per week and working on a customized reading program using internet and print programs.
Dev Com 037 Requirements:
Dev Com 037Y: A one-unit lab class which requires 54 hours of reading activity to be completed by the end of the semester. Attending the center 6 hours per week from the beginning of the semester is recommended.
Dev Com 037Z: A two-unit lab class which requires 108 hours of reading activity to be completed by the end of the semester. Attending the center 8 hours per week from the beginning of the semester is recommended.
Reading & Vocabulary Programs
Townsend Press: an internet program designed to enhance reading comprehension, vocabulary, and sentence writing skills. You must have a valid email account that you regularly check to open an account. Click on the following link to access the site.Townsend Press
